Ballet provides a total body workout. It targets core strength, flexibility, posture, balance, co-ordination & alignment. It also has the additional benefit of providing an opportunity for personal expression to music as well as a good cardiovascular workout.
The class will take you through the basics of Ballet and build on the technique as the weeks progress. You will be learning Ballet steps from the exercises at the barre and centre work including port de bras (arm movements), Adage (slow movements) and Allegro (jumping movements).
Who is it for
Everyone! All exercises can be adapted to meet differing abilities/experience and specific individual needs e.g. injuries.
What to wear & bring
Comfortable sportswear and bare feet (ballet shoes if you own any). A small towel and a bottle of water.
